Fat

6 weeks 1 day. Today was the first day of hunger/nausea (not bad just noticeable). I know I started this pregnancy not in good shape (compared to marathon PR shape last time) and it's pregnancy number two and I had a couple (3?) pounds on my starting weight from last time (149 vs 146 but more fat this time) but I did t expect to look like this so soon. And feel like this. I posted a pic at 15 weeks last time and I think I look worse now. I hope it doesn't continue. I feel like I have stronger abs this time but more fat on top of them. I know I hated the fat but not pregnant looking phase last time but it's so early andover last longer this time. Argh.

A couple of things...
1. you show faster on the 2nd pregnancy (I totally looked way more pregnant this time in the beginning, but ended up looking about the same at the end...just bigger faster)
2. this time you did IVF, which causes bloating and increased ovary size...progesterone (which I assume you are on) also causes weight gain.

To make you feel better, I started this pregnancy about 2 lbs more than the time I started during my last pregnancy. I gained about the same amount of weight. I lost all said weight in about the same amount of time as last time.

Early pregnancy just stinks 'cause you feel fat, not pregnant. Give it about 10-13 more weeks and then it will start being more fun to show off the bump!

I know what you mean. However, don't worry about it! Your body is doing something amazing. You know how to lose it after you have the baby. Also RunnungMama is so right. When I was pregnant just recently I had to start wearing bigger pants at 8 weeks which is way earlier than with Jack. Just think of it as a comfy place for your baby to grow big and strong. You'll lose it quick chasing 2 kids around :)
