First Master's Swim was tonight. Super nervous but then it was of course fun. Tonight was just short, we swam a 100 (1:48) and a 200 (4:11) (thanks Michelle for clarifying!!) so the coach could see which group we belonged in (Tuesday nights are beginners like me, Weds are the hard cores).
And I made an appointment with a new ankle guy to get the cortisone shot. I need to push this and get one before I resign myself to not running for a while. So Monday afternoon...we'll see. I didn't push with the other guy because it wasn't this bad. And I don't want to go back to that guy because he doesn't take my insurance and I don't want to pay $125 to be told no again. So this will cost $20 and hopefully he'll just do it. There's no downside to trying, worst is it won't work.

Good job on that swim! So cool that you enjoyed it!
FYI- each length of the pool is 25 yards so a 100 is 4 lengths... a 200 is 8 lengths. ;)
Sounds like the swimming has just the perfect timing right now. For me, it kept getting even more fun every session because for a good loooooong time I had nothing to do but improve. Guess I should try to have that attitude with my running right now -- nowhere to go but up ;)
I have to say I was wicked impressed with your 200 time ;) I was thinking what on earth is she doing at masters when she could be training for the Olympics :)
Good for you for still being active despite the pain. I love swimming so I am glad you enjoyed it too!
Those are great times for your first time back to masters. It is fun. The hardest part of masters I find is just getting there.
Hope the cortisone shot works.
Yes - Mama Simmons has it. So you did a 100 and 200. That's great! I'm glad you had fun. Hope the ankle gets better.
Nice work on the swim. Even better that you enjoyed it. Good luck with teh ankle.
