29 Week Belly Picture

It's just a habit to take a belly pic before I go to the gym Saturday mornings. Here's today's.

At boot camp, I had to revert back to my former role as fitness model. Sometimes Bea uses me when she's injured and can't do a certain move, to demonstrate. Today she wanted us doing partner drills, and I groaned when she said "You're the only one who knows this!" It was some weird move where you sit back to back, spin to one side and stand up, then jump and high five each other. It wasn't my finest moment, but I did it.

Ab work is getting harder...I can do everything still, but not all the reps. The "heavy" weights I use in class have dropped from 10lbs (the heaviest there are in the studio) to 8lbs, to 6lbs today. But, considering I'm carrying 2 more 6lbs dumbbells in my uterus, I could say I'm actually up to 12 lbs...

Group run tomorrow...we're going to do a whole 3 miles! Oh well...anything at this point is good!

Great job at spin!! I wasn't sure if ab work had any point anymore, is it still good to do? You look great! You're carrying really small which is exciting! Hope the run went well!

I can't believe how different you and I are carrying! I don't have a pic from 29 weeks but I have one from 30 and it looks like I'd swallowed a basketball already by that point. You're so much flatter! Crazy. Enjoy it! ;)
And maybe your experience will be different, but my ab muscles have no function anymore. Trying to use them to sit up is pointless, which is just so sad. I'm gonna have to work hard to get 'em back!

I did "the twist" at a wedding at 26 weeks and it did NOT feel good. I've avoided all ab exercises since them! Be careful!

This has nothing to do with pregnancy (congrats on that, though) - but I just wanted to say how I excited I am to find someone else out there with RA who runs! I'm recently diagnosed and battling with my family and friends about whether running is OK as I wait for my appointment with the specialist. You give me hope that I can keep running - or at least active in some other way. Thank you for this blog - it's truly an inspiration.
