Heat wave
We've been at the pool every afternoon this week. No central air = kinda hot. Actually it's not terrible, we have AC units upstairs and if I keep all the windows and blinds closed and point a fan downstairs, it's pleasant enough until about 2pm. And since I take Andra to daycare before noon so I can go to the gym to swim or lift, it's all good. Our next door neighbor has AC and I hung out there yesterday morning since her house was empty (I was invited!), and I actually had to leave and go home because I was TOO cold! She calls her house the meat locker, and it really is!
Andra likes the crocs I got her today. I've had trouble finding sandals that fit her feet...size 4.5 wide. But these were awesome, and she LOVES them.

Her feet are so tiny! Zach is already in size 9s.
And I cannot imagine a summer without central air. You guys are tough.
Sounds like you're handling the heat with grace, humor and smarts, Clare. It's hot here, too, but temps in the mid-90s and low-100s are normal for July, August and September in California, so I guess we're more acclimated. We cool our house with a swamp-cooler and fans throughout the summer; I've gotten where I can't stand central air conditioning for long. Tough? Yeah ...
Love your baby's Crocs. She's so cute!
Hope this finds you feeling good, m'dear. And I hope that heat wave will break soon so you'll be comfortable around the house all day, rather than just until 2 or so...
Smiling,
Wren
she looks adorable. And your pool looks huge for the zero entry part. She must love it!
I love the crocs! Emma has wide feet too and all the cute shoes for summer are impossible to fit her! She sports the crocs too...hot pink!
