That is not a good thing to mix with RA. Invest in some stability shoes to support the joints in your feet. Even if you don't use them for running, you are still on your feet a lot.
Enjoy your holiday!WendyBirdhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10118478530527972078noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32681913.post-67391405165287564642008-10-10T19:50:00.000-04:002008-10-10T19:50:00.000-04:00I hear ya on the feeling good cardio but not lunge...I hear ya on the feeling good cardio but not lunges/squats, etc. I'm the same. I think it has to do with the 'relaxin' hormone that makes lunges uncomfortable? A PT friend of mine actually told me not to do them (he said do nothing that is 'one-legged' b/c my hips aren't stable enough right now?) So I haven't even attempted them in a while. I'm gonna be *really* sore when I get back in the gym and start up my routine again after this baby comes!!
Have a nice weekend in Cape Cod!Michelle Simmonshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10301323188060167291noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32681913.post-81802033326352843872008-10-10T19:49:00.000-04:002008-10-10T19:49:00.000-04:00hope your feet feel better!!hope your feet feel better!!Aronhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17418163097675963683noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32681913.post-15908567588614691032008-10-10T13:24:00.000-04:002008-10-10T13:24:00.000-04:00yeah, if it keeps up after the baby and weight are...yeah, if it keeps up after the baby and weight are off, i will take it seriously. today they're better, but i'm wearing running shoes! i think i'll have to stick to good shoes for the next 10 weeks! and yeah, calf stretches make it feel MUCH better...and i heard rolling the arches over a frozen water bottle feels good too.Clarehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13062114889126850617noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32681913.post-85632432697150146492008-10-10T10:27:00.000-04:002008-10-10T10:27:00.000-04:00It could very well be pregnancy related, but also ...It could very well be pregnancy related, but also running, especially with the new weight. I got posteior tibialis tendon disfunction when I was training for a marathon this past spring. It got so bad I could barely walk and I had to miss the race, despite having done 3 20 miler through clevleand blizzards! It is basically the collapsing of your arches. I switched to stability shoes and they took some getting used to, but helped a lot. I still have issues with it when I wear like cheap dress shoes to work. I got some PT stretches to do for it, which are basically calve stretched b/c the arch muscle is connected and what i have at least, it related to my calves being too tight causing issues elsewhere. it might be worth seeing a sports med doctor, they can do some simple tests to see if you have PTTD or Plantar F.Mnowachttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05801278895391618166noreply@blogger.com
